Barbara Rautenberg

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara K. Rautenberg of Dumont, New Jersey. Barbara passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Barbara's late husband, Milton Rautenberg, passed earlier this year on January 26, 2023. After 312 days apart, they are together again. Barbara will be forever remembered by her five children: Eleanor A. English-Schluter (deceased), Victoria A. Caswell, Richard J. English, Sherrill A. Woessner, Barbara A. Shock, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Barbara was born on June 24, 1936, in Bronx, New York to Victor and Anne Maistre. Barbara had two sisters, Dorothea "Dotty" and Joan (deceased). Barbara especially will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle touch and kindness. Barbara touched the hearts of everyone she crossed paths with and her memory will be cherished forever.

"There's magic in a Mother's touch, and sunshine in her smile. There's love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile. We can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes. Her laughter is a source of joy, her words are warm and wise. There is a kindness and compassion to be found in her embrace, and we see the light of heaven shining from a Mother's face."

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, The Humane Society, or a charity of your choosing.

There will be a celebration of life for both Milton and Barbara at a future date.
