Donna L. Corless

Donna L. Corless (née O'Brien), 54, of Dumont, NJ, passed away on February 2, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Richard Corless; a devoted and loving mother to Matthew O'Brien and his wife, Monique; and a cherished sister to Ann Marie, Richard, Michelle, Michael, Kevin and Daniel. Donna was also a proud and loving aunt to Mariann, John, Megan, Kayleigh, Payton, and Morgan.

Born in Jersey City to Shirley McCormick & Richard O'Brien, the O'Brien family moved to New Milford in 1973 where Donna would grow up, make countless friends & memories, and eventually raise her son Matthew.

In 2009, Donna married Richie who would serve as her rock for the next nearly two decades. The Corless' would move into their forever home in Dumont and eventually add in four loving fur babies in Heidi, Loretta, Becky, and Lulu. She loved her dogs (and Bella) to the moon & back.

If you were a friend of Donna's, you know she went above and beyond for anyone in need. You also know that everyone was always welcome in her home, especially during the holidays, when she would intentionally make far too much food, insisting guests take leftovers home – because caring for others was simply who she was. Card games, like UNO and Spite & Malice, often added some not so lighthearted competition to the festivities.

Lastly, Donna wanted her friends & loved ones to come together to celebrate her life, share their fondest and funniest memories, and simply have a good time.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ. A Catholic Blessing will take place at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
