Barbara E. Reiss, 85, of Wilson Borough, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, in St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus.
Born April 22, 1939, in Wilson Borough, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jeff and Ethel (Bowlby) Stone.
Barbara graduated from Wilson High School, Class of 1957.
Her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Reiss, Sr., passed away March 4, 2012.
Barbara retired in August 2000 from Northampton County Department of Tax and Assessment where she worked for 13 years.
Previously, she was employed by Country Miss for seven years.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed summers at her beach house in Fenwick Island, Delaware and doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving is a daughter, Michelle Templeton and her husband Joseph Sr., of Wilson Borough; a daughter-in-law, Pam Reiss, of Malvern; three grandchildren, Jennifer Cascioli and her husband Matt, Joseph Templeton, Jr. and Jeffrey Templeton and his wife Laura; five great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Mason Cascioli, Scarlet, Allie and Alex Templeton; two step great-grandchildren, Zakeri and Grace Cascioli; and two step great-great-grandchildren, Levi and Lily. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert L. "Wally" Reiss, Jr.
Per her request, services will be private under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on December 24th at her home.
Memorials may be made to Wilson Borough Lion's Club, c/o the funeral home, 602 W. Berwick St., Easton, PA 18042.
