Barbara Lee (Rice) Robards, "Ms. Daisy" age 85, passed away on December 31, 2025. She was born on August 29, 1940, in
Baltimore, Maryland, to Franklin Chester Rice and Dorothy Belle (Myers) Rice.
Barbara spent her childhood in Baltimore before moving to West Virginia, to a horse farm where she raised her five children. After her children were grown, she moved to Oklahoma, till 2005. From 2005 to 2010, she resided in New York, where she met Bob. Shortly thereafter, they returned to Oklahoma, which they called home ever since. Barbara and Bob were married in 2010.
Barbara lived in
Carnegie, Oklahoma, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She volunteered at the Carnegie Senior Nutrition Center and faithfully enjoyed watching Pastor Arthur Murray on television for many years. She was known for her strong work ethic and spent years working in various jobs, including home health.
Barbara was the founder of Ms. Daisy, a consignment shop that began in her home in Carnegie. The shop later moved to Chickasha for one year and then to Anadarko, where it operated for eight years.
Her greatest occupation and pride were her home and family. Barbara loved to cook and clean and was known for keeping a spotless house. She especially enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew, and was the master baker on holidays. Her children and grandchildren were always on her mind, and she lovingly supported them in all their sports and activities. She always made time for them when needed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Dorothy Rice; brothers Charles Rice and David Rice; sister Vivian Sauter.
Barbara is survived by her children:
Dan Brion and Laura of Virginia; David Brion of Florida; Tonja Schaub and Chris of Florida; Lisa Perry and Mark of West Virginia; and Joseph Hicks of New York.
Sister Patty Farkas of Texas.
Grandchildren Dan Brion IV and Kelly of Virginia; Alexis Crockett and Brian of Virginia; David Brion of Florida; Lauren Brion and Kevin Young of Florida; Steven Schaub and Meghan of Georgia; Alexa Perry of West Virginia; Drew Perry and Caroline of West Virginia; and Francesca McCutchan and Michael of West Virginia; great-grandchildren Cameron, Chloe, Sophie, Mason, Jade, Zoey, Daisy, Tressa, and Mack. And numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
