JONESBORO - Barbara Kay Robertson, 77, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Bono to the late Orvis and Phala Smith.
Barbara has lived in the Bono and Jonesboro area all of her life and was previously a member of Poplar Valley Free Will Baptist. Barbara enjoyed a life centered around family and the things she loved most. She was a longtime movie buff and especially enjoyed watching films featuring Elvis Presley and Dean Martin. She also enjoyed playing games on her iPad, but more than anything, she valued spending time with family and cherished those moments together. Barbara retired from Arkansas Rehabilitation Services after years of dedicated work. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Robertson; daughter, Holly (Coy) Hay; sisters, Alvella (Victor) Hutchison, Theresa Lassiter and Rhonda (Michael) DiNapoli; grandchildren, Clinton Sykes, JJ James and Scarlett Muessig as well as 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held today, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bono with Michael Preachet officiating. Those serving as pallbearers include Jim Robertson, Clinton Sykes, JJ James, Michael Preachet, Coy Hay, and Cody Meussig.
The family asks that you consider wearing peach, blue, or yellow to the services, as these were Barbara's favorite colors.
