Barbara Rodocker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Benton County Funeral Home on Mar. 12, 2026.
Barbara "Barb" (Redlaczyk) Wellhausen Rodocker, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2026, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Born on February 25, 1945, in Bismarck, North Dakota, Barb was known for her independent spirit, wonderful sense of humor, kind heart and deep love for animals. Those who knew Barb knew her home was never empty; it was filled with the love and companionship of the many pets she cherished throughout her life.

Barb was a graduate of Bismarck High School and Bismarck Junior College. She was a longtime resident of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota where her first job was a "milklady," delivering glass bottles to her customers' homes. Barb was a bartender at the Radisson Hotel for many years and later at the iconic Red Dragon in Uptown. She also worked as a manicurist throughout her career. In later years Barb relocated to Bella Vista.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Lydia Redlaczyk, and her first husband, Bruce Wellhausen. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Robert "Red" Redlaczyk and his wife Marcia; sister-in-law Suzann Redlaczyk, wife of her late brother Ferdinand Jr. "Red;" sister-in-law Janelle Redlaczyk and niece Claire, wife and daughter of her late brother Theodore "Ted." Barb is also remembered by her nephew Aaron Redlaczyk (Shanly) and great-nephews Joel and Ayden; nieces Robin Dargie and Megan Holmstrom and nephew Eric Holmstrom (Sarah). We will all miss her forever.

To honor Barb's memory and her lifelong compassion and care for animals, her family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 5248, Bella Vista, AR 72714. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com

Yesterday

Barb was a wonderful neighbor! She would often walk Rosie and pete and if I was outside ask me how I'm doing. She took care of 5 cats outside, that weren't her own. She would feed them and shelter them on her porch or underneath her porch.all 5 cats are healthy. Barb I'm going to miss you and I'm feeding your cats.
