Richmond, Missouri - Barbara Jane Mayden Rodriguez, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 25, 2022. Barbara was born to Ralph and Irene Mayden on July 12, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Fred Myers.
She loved making quilts and made many of of them for loved ones. She also loved baking and decorating cakes. She was an avid doll collector and had many of them. She spent many years taking care of her cockatiel Billy. She worked for the H.D. Lee company and that is where she met her husband, Richard Rodriguez. She also worked for Foodbarn grocery store. She was a homemaker for many years taking care of her children. Her children were everything to her and she was an amazing mother and wife for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph Mayden and Irene Mayden Myers, stepfather Fred Myers, her loving husband of 47 years Richard Rodriguez, sons William McCoy, and Thomas McCoy, her sister Patricia Stafford.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Priesendorf, daughter Rebecca Marshall, son Richard Rodriguez II, brother Ronald Mayden, many grandchildren, great-grand, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Saturday December 10, 2022, from 1-2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Terrace Park Cemetery.
