Barbara Jean Roysdon

Barbara J. (Suchocki) Roysdon, 89 of Tampa, Florida passed away on 25,January, 2025. Barbara was born on September 24, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois.
Barbara was a graduate of Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana. She met her husband, Jackie B Roysdon, in High school and married on September 18, 1957. Following her husband, she lived where he was stationed and they started a family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Barbara loved traveling, bowling, making Christmas cookies, talking and laughing with friends, jigsaw and word puzzles, her stories (especially "The Young and the Restless"), but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her son, James Roysdon (Teresa Williams) of Tampa Florida, her daughter, Deborah (Sherry) Roysdon of Fortville Indiana, her grandkids Ashley (John) Moore, Cameron Price-Roysdon, and Kylee Price-Roysdon, her great grand kids: Arleigh, Emmett and Ivie Moore, and Mikah and Riley Jack Woolridge, and multiple grand dogs.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Frances (Szutenbach) Rudzinski, her husband Jackie Roysdon, her sisters Marie Cole and Patricia Rudzinski, and her brothers Richard, Sr. and Edmund.
There will be no visitation. Services for Barbara Roysdon will be held on February 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina. She will be interred privately at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with her husband.
A celebration of Life will be held in Fortville, Indiana at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity in her name. Barbara gave so much to many veteran, Indian Schools, and Catholic societies and charities, including the American Cancer Foundation and the Jack Roysdon Memorial Foundation.
