Barbara Ann Salsberry

Barbara Ann Salsberry, age 85, from Medina, OH, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at Holy Family Home Hospice in Parma, OH.
Barbara lived a full and faith-filled life, guided by her deep devotion to her Catholic faith and her love for family, nature, and animals. An avid equestrian, she found great joy and peace in caring for her horses and spending time outdoors. She loved gardening, quilting, and baking, especially when it meant spending time in the kitchen with her beloved granddaughters. Barbara also cherished her Bible study group and the friendships she shared with people of all Christian faiths, finding comfort and strength in fellowship and prayer.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always offering warmth, wisdom, and love to those around her. She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher Nielsen (Christina), and her cherished granddaughters, Nikole and Samantha Nielsen, who brought endless pride and happiness to her life. Barbara is also survived by her loving sisters, Sandy Pfendler, and Mary Hollar, and will be dearly missed by her extended family and many friends.
Barbara's life was a testament to faith and dedication. Her spirit and generous heart will be remembered always.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects on Friday, October 24th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington Street, Medina, OH 44256, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Barbara's life and faith. Care for Barbara was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
