Ellen Stettin Obituary
Ellen Jean Stettin, 70 of Wyant Woods Healthcare Center in Akron, formerly of West Salem died on Saturday March 21, 2026 at Akron General Hospital. Ellen was born September 26, 1955 in Medina, Ohio to Edward and Effie (McDougale) Stettin Sr. She attended Cloverleaf High School and worked at the White Castle Restaurant in Burbank. Ellen also worked as an Aide at Dillon Care Center in West Salem. She was baptized on September 29, 2005. She enjoyed crocheting, writing songs and animals. Ellen Loved the Lord with all her heart. She leaves behind her three children and closest friend Carole Zumack. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward A Stettin Jr.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Deacon Pete Foradori. The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at West Salem Cemetery. Matteson Funeral Home is honored to serve Ellen Stettin and the community.
