He was born on October 17, 1941 in Gallagher, Kanawha County West Virginia to Lovell Marie and Charles Eli Hagan. He entered eternal rest on February 19, 2026.
Larry was a faithful man of Christ, a dedicated son, father, husband, brother, papaw and friend. His sense of humor was contagious and his musical talents were phenomenal. The love he carried for Jesus and family were unwavering. He loved talking about Jesus and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Spending 50 years lifting his voice to the Lord. Recording Gospel Music and Playing benefit concerts for those in need.
Larry served as a Deacon at Old Liberty House of God in Lafayette, TN. He continued to play music and sing until he lost his voice last year. Since retiring as a Spray Painter Supervisor, he continued to paint and restore cars in his spare time. A great man of God, teacher and confidant. He will by missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Diane K Hagan, step granddaughters: Kristina Carder and Kimberly Workman; step son, Charles Workman; several brothers and sisters and a young a man he took in as a child and loved as his own, John Koval.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Hagan, fur babies: Tanner and Ginger of West Salem, Ohio; brother, Danny (Gloria) Hagan of Craigsville, West Virginia; daughter, Roseanna (Bob) Yarker of Jefferson, Ohio; sons: Larry Hagan II of Rock Creek, Ohio, James Hagan of Orwell, Ohio; step sons: Tom (Jessica) Carder of Nova, Ohio, Brian (Diane) Carder of Big Prairie, Ohio, Otis (Katherine) Workman of Lafayette, Tennessee, Rex (Penny) Workman of Mantana, Ohio, Roger (Lisa) Workman of LaGrange, Ohio; stepdaughter, Sandra (Roger) Kinslow of Glasgow, Kentucky; 33 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday February 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Kimbolton Cemetery in Kimbolton, Ohio with Pastor Jerry Arman officiating. Larry was a member of First Baptist Church in West Salem, Ohio 44287. Matteson Funeral Home is honored to serve Larry's family and the community.
