Barbara Sands Obituary
Barbara Ruth Meredith Boyd Sands, 88 of Kingston, passed away Saturday January 17, 2026. She was born October 4, 1937, in Kingston, and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of Childs Memorial Baptist Church in Harriman and also attended Southwest Point Baptist Church. Barbara worked for over 31 years at Family Medical Clinic in Kingston as a Registered Nurse and retired with over 50 years of service in the medical profession. Preceded in death by her husband Charles "Charlie" Sands; daughter Bliss Boyd Gonzales; parents, E.T. & Mary Gladys Britt Meredith; brother, Tom Meredith; sister, Brenda Meredith Roberts; niece, Meredith Roberts.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday January 20, 2026, at Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston. Funeral service will follow at 7:00pm with son, Billy Boyd officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Calvary Cemetery on James Ferry Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Southwest Point Baptist Church Youth Ministry, PO Box 326, Kingston, TN 37763. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston in charge of all the arrangements.
