Barbara L. Schlindwein, age 82, of Harborcreek, residing at Brevillier Village, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was born in Erie on September 21, 1939.

Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. She retired from the Peace Corp after 30 years of service. She was based in Washington DC where she managed volunteers in many countries in South America. Barbara returned to Erie in 1989 and enjoyed time spent with family and friends and was active at the Berean Bible Church.

Barbara is survived by one brother, Thomas Schlindwein (Nanette); one brother in law, Jim Howland; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Mildred and Albert Millett; one sister, Nancy Howland; and one brother, Timothy Millett.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm. A private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

Tom, thank you for letting me know about Barbara. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. May God bless you and your family for taking care of her. She was a great friend and co-worker. She helped me a lot with my children when they were little. She was always there to help when needed.
