Jean A. Nupp

1932 - 2025

Jean A. Naugle Nupp, 92, formerly of Harborcreek, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 5, 2025. She was born in Wireton, PA on August 8, 1932, a daughter of the late William and Edith Pope Naugle.

Jean graduated from Sandy Township High School and worked at Marx Toys and Kerner Tool Company. Most recently she worked as a machinist at GE for 19 years and was a member of UE 506 until her retirement in 1989. She was a former member of East Greene Presbyterian Church and was active at Springhill Senior Living where she participated in bocce and Wii bowling. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and bingo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Herbert A. Nupp; her granddaughter, Irene Jaroski; her grandson, Jared Stolz; two brothers, John and Robert Thomas Naugle; and one sister, Mary Ellen Yost.

Survivors include four daughters, Cyndy Casey of North East, Pam Rapoza of Union City, Janet Vogt (Gene) of Erie, and Linda Jarzynka (Vince) of Erie; two sons, Herbert James Nupp (Amy) of McKean and Thomas E. Nupp (Erika) of Russellville, AR; 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Naugle (Karen) of DuBois; four sisters, Louise Ross (Bob) of DuBois, Sarah Burns of DuBois, Shirley Mackin of Arkansas, and Katherine Thomas of Columbus, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was greatly loved and a blessing to all who knew her. She selflessly sacrificed for her family and others all her life.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday February 12th from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Thursday February 13th from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Wales Cemetery.
