Barbara Lee Seeger, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on October 17, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas, she dedicated her life to caring for others, a testament to her warm spirit and nurturing nature.
Throughout her career, Barbara treated everyone with kindness and respect, making each person feel special, which endeared her to many. . Barbara Lee Seeger was a beloved retired nurse from the Port Arthur Health Department and cherished member of her community. Her dedication to nursing was a reflection of her heart, which always treasured her family above all else. Barbara’s family was her pride and joy, and she took great joy in each milestone and cherished memory they created together.
A devoted member of Peace Lutheran Church, Barbara participated actively in church life, singing in the choir, serving on the Altar Guild and as a member of the Board of Missions, where her contributions were deeply valued. She was known for her love of music and flowers, which filled her life with joy and beauty.
Barbara’s legacy lives on through her beloved family members. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Oltremari, and her husband, Eddie, of Port Arthur. Her grandchildren, Aaron Oltremari and Alyssa Kingston, along with her husband, Chad, continue to carry forward her family traditions. Barbara also cherished her great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Seward and her husband, Blake, Grayson Oltremari, and Kynlee Kingston, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Baylor Seward. Additionally, her sister-in-law, Theresa Wolf and several nieces and nephews, mourn the loss of a remarkable woman whose warmth touched so many.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Carl Robert Seeger, whose companionship she cherished. She also leaves behind the memories of her parents, Lee Roy and Annie Lucille Wolf, brothers, Emil Ray Wolf and Kenneth Wolf, and sister, Mary Boulet, all of whom she has rejoined in the arms of eternity.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Peace Lutheran Church, located at 5801 West Jefferson Street in Groves, Texas, on August 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. A graveside service and interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
Barbara L. Seeger will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her profession, her love for her family, and her kind-hearted spirit. Her memory will forever inspire those who had the privilege to know her.
