Barbara Jo Sheffield

Barbara Jo Sheffield, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, August 25, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Daniel Cook and the Rev. Sherwin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, in Rhine, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Sheffield was born January 12, 1949, in Dodge County, Georgia, to the late Minor & Alice Pittman Roberson. She lived in the community most of her life and retired from Modern Fibers as a knitter operator for 30 years. Mrs. Sheffield enjoyed fishing and she was a great cook. She will be remembered for her pecan pies. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Terry Sheffield & Keva of Fitzgerald and Tammy S. Brooke & Bob of Sycamore; grandchildren: Corey & Courtney Brooke, Abby Brooke, Ty Brooke, Jessica Sheffield and Sarah Sheffield; three great-grandchildren: Finn Brooke, Lila Jo Williams and C.J. Brooke; brother-in-law, Charlie Sheffield & Marie of Calvert, Texas. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Sheffield and four brothers and sisters.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
