Barbara Parsons Sheldon, 91, of Los Altos Hills, passed away on December 27, 2025 of natural causes. Born July 17, 1934, in Eugene, Oregon, she graduated from Mills College and made her home in Los Altos Hills for nearly five decades before moving to The Channing House, in Palo Alto in 2014.
Barbi spent more than 25 years of her professional life with Stanford Athletics, where she supported multiple teams and managed the Stanford Golf membership program. She was known for her dedication, warm presence, laughter and lasting ties to the Stanford community.
An avid golfer and enthusiastic sports fan, Barbi rarely missed a Stanford football or basketball game and was a devoted San Francisco Giants supporter. She also loved the arts, live theater, and traveling around the world with friends and family.
She is survived by her children Wayne, Barry, Gail and five grandchildren.
