Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Holly Ridge with Rev. Preston Wells officiating.
Mrs. Sholar was known as a kind and giving person by all who knew her. She remained faithful and served the Lord throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Williams Sloan and Edward Marshall Sloan; her two sisters, Margaret Padrick and Helen Boney; and her two brothers, Edwin and Charles Sloan.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Guthrie of Holly Ridge; son, Stanley Sholar and wife Ann Coverdale of Wilmington; grandson, Camden Lee Guthrie and wife Bethany of Hampstead; granddaughters, Kimberly and Kristie Sholar, Stephanie Singletary, and Deanna Blizzard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
