Barbara Sonnheim Obituary
Barbara, born on February 24th, 1946 to John and Anne Blanchard in Valpariso, IN, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. After getting her MSW at the University of Pennsylvania, Barbara pursued her career in helping others in psychology.
Barbara fell in love with Nathan and the two were inseparable from that point on. Nathan and Barbara were married for almost 50 years when he passed in 2022. They went on to have their own private practice, Sonnheim Counseling Services which they provided guidance and wisdom to many clients over 50 years. Barbara was a dedicated mom to her two children, David and Rebecca (Adam) raising them to go on to accomplish great things. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, and her husband Nathan. She is survived by her children and son-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward to someone in need. As our mother said, don't go looking for people just let life bring them to you.
