Barbara Ann Stackpole of Brevard passed away Thanksgiving Day at Four Seasons Elizabeth House, Hospice in Flat Rock, NC. She was eighty-five years young.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, a daughter, Susan, a sister, Janet, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Mark, a daughter, Elizabeth, one grandson, a sister and two cousins. Barbara was very generous with her time working at nonprofits Bread of Life, and Safe for many years. She sang with the Brevard Choral Society, and volunteered at The Brevard Music Center and was active within her community.
She loved to read, take road trips, animals and kids of all ages. She worked at a scientific company for twenty-five years and retired as s marketing manager.
