Barbara Steele Obituary
Born October 15, 1937, in Port Huron, she was the daughter of the late Okey and Adele (Schlicht) Newton. Barbara was a longtime and devoted member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
A true social butterfly, Barbara embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved traveling, dancing, and gathering with family and friends, and she had a gift for making every occasion brighter simply by being there. Whether at a large celebration or a small get-together, Barb was happiest surrounded by those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Neil Watson and Vern Steele; her stepson, Patrick Steele; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Watson.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Watson, William Watson, Greg (Jennifer) Watson, Bob Watson, Joyce (Tom) Mifsud, and Lisa (David) Moen; along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue her legacy of love and laughter.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's vibrant life will be held at a later date.
