STEPHENS – Barbara Jean Stephens, age 82 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Richard McCart, Martin Rutledge, Michael Hays, and Nik Cooper will officiate. Interment with follow at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery, 1930 Bethel Road, Conyers, GA. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Barbara was the life of the party. Everyone who knew her loved her. She didn't miss a birthday party, wedding, or any other time to celebrate. She loved all her babies in her life and considered each one as her own. She was Nana to every one of them. She worked her entire life to provide for her family. When she did reach retirement, she continued to provide support and love to everyone. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Stephens in 1988; parents, Frank and Maggie (Ellington) Hays; brothers, Robert (Elise) Hays, Haygood (Barbara J) Hays, Luther Hays; sisters, Fletcher (Glen) Alexandra, Emmie Jo (Bob) Anderson, LaRue (Robert) Moon, Lilla (Dorsey) McCart, Pearl (Weyman) Rutledge, Gladys (Roy) Patillo; sisters-in-law, Helen (Heck) Malcom, Wanda (Winston) Bonner; nieces & nephews, Judy Hays, Debra White, Milton and Phillip Moon, Keith Patillo and Dillinger McCue. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Tammy) Stephens of Loganville, GA; grandchildren, Nikolas (Meagan) Cooper of Madison, GA, Alix Cooper of Tampa, FL, Jennifer Golden of Covington, GA, Katie (Wilson) Bullard of Shady Dale, GA; great grandchildren, the light in her life, Sawyer Grace and Brooks Cooper; sisters-in-law, Shirley Hays of Conyers, GA, Brenda Perkins of Loganville, GA; mother of grandchildren (daughter-in-love), Nici Snell of Loganville, GA. In addition, 19 nieces and nephews (3rd generation), 46 (4th generation), and 42 (5th generation).
