Barbara Annn Thatch Stepp, 86, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 21, 1937 in Cleveland, TN a daughter of the late Glen & Ida Mae Kaylor. She enjoyed playing cards and a Tea Party, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Roy Stepp. Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Dianne Myers, Kathi Mowery (Jerry), Tony Thatch (Lisa) and Kelly Guffey (Joe), three grandchildren Cassidy Turner (Johnathon), Cayci Freeman (Eric) and Corey Thatch (Michelle), two great grandchildren Amelia Turner and Cooper Freeman, two sisters Wanda Kusserow and Reba Brennamen (Tom), step daughter Judy Cobb, several nieces and nephew, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the original chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time on Wednesday at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Grady Cooper officiating. The family will have a private graveside on Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
