Devoted wife, mother and friend
OAKVILLE – Barbara A. Stolfi, age 82 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the widow David V. Stolfi.
Mrs. Stolfi was born on June 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Oneill)Johnson. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, Class of 1959. She retired from Oak Hill School for the Blind and enjoyed her retirement spending time at the beach and traveling. She lived a full life blessed by her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Stephen Martone of New Britain, Jeffery Martone of Brattleboro,Vermont; stepchildren; Janet Alfano and her husband Mark of Southington, Nancy Lundy and her husband Mark of South Windsor, and David Stolfi and his wife AnnMarie of Newington. Barbara was blessed by 8 grandchildren: Jamie, Kaitlyn, Stephen, Jackson, Charles, Giuliana, Gabriella, and Isabella and four great-grandchildren: Kendal, Zyaire, Kallie, and Rileigh. She also leaves behind a cherished best friend for over 75 years, Barbara 'Sully' Boniecki and two nephews Bruce Johnson of Waterbury and Craig Johnson of Florida.
The Stolfi family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and acknowledge the staff at Waterbury Hospital and AccentCare Hospice for the care and love they shared with Barbara and her family during her illness.
Relatives and friends may visit with Barbara's family on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory with the family and friends of someone important to you.
