Barbara Strohm Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Talbott Funeral Home - Belington on Jan. 24, 2026.
It is with profound sadness that the family of Barbara Agnes Walker announces her peaceful passing on January 22, 2026, at the age of 87, in her residence in Belington, West Virginia. Born on June 23, 1938 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania to Frederick George Strohm and Agnes Cecilia (Johns) Strohm, Barbara was a devoted mother and friend.

Barbara graduated from Highlands High School (formerly Har-brack High School) and thereafter was an active presence in her community, tending to family and neighbors who were in need. An active member of local churches, she exemplified a peaceful, accepting spirit to all who met her. She enjoyed conversation, food, television, her dogs and cats, and socializing. In 1976 she moved to Belington where she continued her spirit of service to the elderly while employed at Tygart Valley Health and Rehabilitation (formerly Barbour County Good Samaritan) for many years.

She is survived by her daughters Kimberley Ann Cramer of Greenbelt, Maryland and Sharon Lee (Cramer) Reese of Frederick, Maryland; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, a sister Shirley (Strohm) Snyder, and brother George Strohm. Her humor, generosity, and kindness will be missed by all.

No services will be held. Funeral arrangements will be provided by the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington. Condolences can be made to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com.
