Barbara Ann Davis Suitor, born February 16, 1948 to JC Davis and Velma Davis LaRue, passed from this world on September 7, 2025.

Barbara lived the majority of her life in the Velma and Duncan area. She enjoyed fishing and watching Dr. Pol. Barbara was a very caring and giving person, spending several years caring for her mother, Velma, before she passed in 2014. She was also a dedicated foster grandparent for the Duncan Public Schools Foster Grandparent program, especially enjoying when the children read to her. Barbara never met a stranger and was outgoing and spunky, with a sassy sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Davis; and sister, Bev Davis Martin. She is survived by a brother, Dennis Davis of Velma; daughters Susan Johnson and husband John of Duncan, Karen Brown of Sulphur, and Stacy Towell and husband Dale of Duncan; grandchildren Rodney and Stephanie Brown, Derek and Daphne Johnson, Chance Brown, James "Clint" Brown, Dillon and Tiffany Johnson, and Chase and Jenny Towell; great grandchildren Cayden Branstetter, Madison Branstetter, Landon Brown, Kat Brown, Scarlett Johnson, Luke Johnson, Emmett Johnson, Kolson Johnson, Bralee Jones, Devin Brown, Jaxson Brown, Kason Brown, Bentley Wagner, Kimberlyn Johnson, Grayson Towell, and Felicity Towell; as well as many other loved ones.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Barbara has been entrusted to the care of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Her service will be held on September 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home with graveside to immediately follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, with Pastor Randy Southerland presiding and John Johnson also reading.
