Barbara Templeton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Apyre National Cremation Services - Port Reading on Mar. 26, 2026.
Barbara "Bobbie" Templeton, 89, of Hampton, NJ

Barbara "Bobbie" Templeton, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, with her loving family at her side. She was born on March 3, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Bobbie spent many years working in various office roles with several companies. Upon her retirement, she celebrated with a memorable trip to Ireland.

A wise, soft-spoken, and peaceful soul, Bobbie never had a bad word to say about anyone. Devoted to her family and faith. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She cherished vacations with her kids to the Jersey Shore, camping at Otter Lake, and trips to the ocean in Florida. She enjoyed music and dancing, as well as a good card game. She loved life's simple pleasures like her fabulous breakfasts or a Boston cream donut. Everyone enjoyed her potato salad but everyone loved her deviled eggs!

Bobbie is survived by her children: Tom (Joann) Fritsche of Hammonton, NJ; Geri (Dan) Stabile of Cedar Rapids, IA; Bev (Gary) Lamberson of Stroudsburg, PA; Sue (Rich) Nemecek of Islip, NY; Rick (Nancy) Fritsche of Farmingdale, NY; Helen (Joe) DePalma of Washington, NJ; and Vicky (Michael) Martin of Hampton, NJ; as well as 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf Petersen and Genevieve Hyndshaw, step-father Robert and half-brother Robbie. Her husbands, Fred Fritsche, Victor Witt, and Carl Templeton.

A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 54 Pittstown Rd. Annandale, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made in Bobbie's name to Hunterdon Hospice.

She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
