Barbara J. "Davis" Thomas

Barbara J. Thomas, age 78 of Clyde, OH, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at her home. Barbara was born March 11, 1947, in Amherst, OH, the daughter of the late Willie and Lula (Childers) Davis.

Barbara found great joy in the simple blessings of life. She had a deep love for her pet dogs and cared for many loyal companions throughout the years, each holding a special place in her heart. She enjoyed spending time tending to her garden, finding peace and satisfaction in watching things grow. A woman of strong faith, Barbara often shared her love of scripture and was known for quoting the Bible, drawing comfort and guidance from its words. Above all else, she cherished her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Barbara also had a sweet spot for spiced jellybeans, a treat she always enjoyed and happily shared with those around her.

Barbara is survived by her children: Robert A. (Cora) Thomas of Clyde, J. Scott (Frances) Thomas of Fremont, P. Kelly Thomas of Clyde, MaLinda (Gary) Thomas-Vickery of Bellevue, and Andrew L. Thomas of Clyde; grandchildren: Steve, Megan, Melissa, Denis, and Carmie Thomas, Jacob Gerber, Jared Gerber, and Rebecca Lawrence; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Thomas; many siblings; and her infant grandchild.

A celebration of life for Barbara will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Younique Experience, 208 West Main Street, Bellevue, OH, 44811, from 4-6:00pm.
