Barbara Lois Thotland

Barbara Thotland passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at her residence in Burnsville, MN.

Born in Minneapolis to Wally and Lois Goulet, Barbara had a full and interesting life. She led a varied career which led her finally to school-aged care where she could really put her heart into her work. She also took on many hobbies and activities including stage acting, ice skating, photography, bird watching, wood carving, gardening and clowning- including adopting the persona of Rainbow the Clown. Barbara has always stayed young at heart, often playing with children and joking with family and friends. She spent much of her life connecting with family and friends; visiting, going to shows, games and recitals, family reunions and much more. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Parents Wallace and Lois Goulet, brother Lee Goulet, sister Reneé Graffi, bother-in-law Tom Martinez, stepdaughter Annette Morgan, grandson Tony Morgan, sons-in-law Art Thrune, Joel Carlson and Sam Morgan, ex-husband Dick Thotland.

Sister Rita Martinez, son Jeromy Thotland (Andrea Grant), sister-in-law Marrianne Goulet, stepdaughter Lynn Carlson, stepsons Tim and Todd Thotland, grandchildren Alice and Qwynn Thotland, Tricia (Kelvin) Gobardhan, Vanessa (Paul) Richards, Amanda (Derek) Morgan, Tim (Jessica) Dropik, many greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
