August 11, 1957 – February 28, 2026

Barbara Gale Trolinger, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2026, in Madera, California. Born on August 11, 1957, in Madera, she spent her life dedicated to her family, friends, and community.

Barbara graduated from Madera High School in 1975 after attending various grammar schools in Alabama and Madera. Her life was marked by a deep sense of compassion and service to others. She worked in various roles throughout her career but found her greatest fulfillment working for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), where she helped individuals who could no longer manage daily activities. Barb's selflessness and dedication to the well-being of others were hallmarks of her character.

Her greatest accomplishment was the love and care she devoted to her family. Barb was the beloved wife of Charles L. Trolinger Sr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, commitment, and family values. She is survived by her husband Charles; her son Charles L. Trolinger Jr. and his fiancée Stacy; her brother Raymond L. Parris Jr. and his wife Jan; her sister Vicky Marie Parris and her fiancé Manuel; and her sister-in-law Caroline Clark and her husband Dean. Barb also leaves behind six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as aunts and uncles who will cherish her memory forever.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Raymond L. and Lodell V. Parris; her sister Lola A. Parris; her daughter Lucille L. Trolinger; her grandparents and great-grandparents; and her in-laws Hershel L. and Lucille S. Trolinger.

Family gatherings were at the heart of Barb's life. She found joy in barbecues at her brother's house, fishing trips, motorcycle rides with loved ones, shopping excursions with her sister-in-law Jan, and taking the kids to the lake for swimming adventures. She cherished these moments of togetherness that created lasting memories for all who knew her.

Barbara was also active in Boy Scouts and Webelos, where she encouraged young people to develop character, teamwork, and responsibility. Her involvement reflected her belief that strong communities are built through care, guidance, and active participation.

A Baptist at heart, Barb attended church during her younger years and carried those values with her throughout life. Her faith informed the quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering loyalty she showed to those she loved.

Barbara's life was a testament to living with love daily and serving others freely. She celebrated the accomplishments of those around her more than her own and found joy in lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her laughter, wisdom, and gentle guidance will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Barbara Gale Trolinger leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations through the family she nurtured and the values she so faithfully modeled. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her as they honor a life well-lived.
