TIPP CITY -- Barbara Ann "Johnson" Turner, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born June 19, 1944 to Vernon and Violet Johnson at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Barbara was raised in Dayton, Ohio along with siblings, Sharon( Kingrey), Diana (Begley), Vernon "Bud" and Denise (Nelson). She graduated from Meadowdale High. She is preceded in death by her husband Albree Chester, grandson Jeromy and her parents. They raised their two daughters, Sonja (Jim) and Shelly in New Carlisle. They have four grandchildren Jessie Turner, Starr Van Hoose, Faith Baker and Ashley Turner, and four great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Silas and Ashor. Barbara worked at Shop Smith and later as a realtor with Galbreath. After retiring, Barbara and Chet moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where they enjoyed the climate and retired life. Later due to hurricane Charles, they moved to Hodges, Alabama. After the death of her husband, Barbara wanted to move back to Ohio to be with family and settled in Tipp City where she was a member of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. Barbara loved to sew and made numerous baby quilts for all the newborns in the family that will be cherished forever. She was an inspiration of faith to others and read the whole bible many times over. She followed Jesus and always had a positive attitude about life saying "never judge!".
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
