It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Bacca Turner, a beloved resident of Marietta, Georgia. Barbara passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at the age of 93.
Barbara was born on Tuesday, November 24th, 1931, in Los Angeles, California, to her loving parents, Phillip and Mary Bacca. She was a devoted daughter, wife, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Phillip and Mary Bacca, and her beloved husband, Marvin Turner and her daughters, Sharon Hodgins and Therese Echols. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Professionally, Barbara dedicated many years of her life to her work as a bookkeeper. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to her profession were admired by colleagues and clients alike. Her hobbies included traveling, volunteering with the hospital gift shop, baking and sewing.
She is survived by 3 grandchildren. Michael Echols (Renee), Teena Payne (Dean), William Hodgins (Amy). 6 great grandchildren, Alora, Hunter, Jlynn, Bentley, Haley and William.
Barbara's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. Her gentle spirit and generous nature will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara Bacca Turner will be remembered for her unwavering love, her strength of character, and her enduring spirit. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
