Barbara S. Tuttle, 83, of Gloucester, formerly of Westfield, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Den Mar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rockport. Barbara was born in Portsmouth, N.H. on July 19, 1930, daughter of the late Carl H. and Hazel I. (Smith) Tuttle of Exeter, N.H. Barbara was raised in Exeter, New Hampshire with her parents, brother and three sisters. When she was married, she lived in Westfield and Clinton, Massachusetts. She was a homemaker and raised three children. She came to reside at Den Mar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2010. There she enjoyed church services, BINGO, outdoor picnics and crocheting. She loved animals. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was a sweet, kind and thoughtful person with a contagious smile. She will be missed & remembered by all that knew her. She is survived by her sons Allen Nutting and wife Corinna of Barton, VT, William Clapp of Germany; grandchildren, Dawn M. Loyd and husband J.T. Loyd of Gloucester, MA, Christopher J. Hayden and wife Johnna Hayden of Westfield, MA, Dan Clapp of Westfield, MA, Wendy (Clapp) Morisano of Westfield, MA, Kaleigh, Glenn and Kaitlyn Nutting of Barton, VT. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Bernard F. Clapp of Westfield, MA; her daughter and son-in-law Sandra L. (Clapp) Moffett and Joseph Moffett of Westfield, MA; and granddaughters Stephanie and Tiffany Nutting of Barton, VT. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Westfield, Massachusetts. Contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Cape Ann Aid Animal Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930
