Barbara was born November 6, 1938 to Lewis and Inez Cobb in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2023 in Shreveport.
Barbara always made everyone feel comforted when you were sick, in need or just needed a mom or a friend. She had a nurturing spirit that put anyone and everyone ahead of any needs she may have had. She would always pray with you and let you know everything was going to be alright. She was one-of-a-kind! Now heaven has gained a new angel that is beautiful inside and out.
Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Charles L. Walker (Papaw); brother, Jerry Cobb; mother, Inez Farmer; son, James Walker; and daughter, Gail Rasbury. Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Laurinda Hendricks and husband, Randel Hendricks, Deborah Gregory and husband, Harry Reed Gregory, Leah Karen Gaensehals, Bobby Walker and wife, Kathie Walker, and Paula Trussell. She has 13 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; one stepsister, Gloria Caskey and husband, Hodric; numerous nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Mary Smart; and dear friend, Lou Satterwhite. Barbara considered her Yorkie, Charlie, to be a member of the family as well.
Barbara will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
