Barbara Esposito Walsh

Barbara Esposito Walsh, affectionately known as "Gram," passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, in West Islip at the age of 92. Born on November 7, 1932, in Richmond Hill, New York, Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Widowed at the young age of 42, Barbara courageously and joyfully raised her six children alone, filling their home with warmth and happiness. She cherished family gatherings, where her exceptional love and infectious spirit touched all who knew her. Barbara held many friendships close to her heart, always appreciative of life's simple joys and a good celebration.
Barbara delighted in boating, fishing, and spending relaxing days on the water. Deeply spiritual, she served devotedly as a Eucharistic minister at her parish, St. Raymond Church, for many years.
Barbara is survived by her loving children, Mary Esposito, James Esposito, Rosanne Rainis (Matt), Peggy Esposito, and Jackie Parry (Ed); cherished 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter, Maureen Frawley.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Barbara will be immensely missed and forever remembered lovingly by family, friends, and her community.
