Barbara K. Watson, 88, of Wynne, died June 18, 2025, in Indianola, Mississippi.
Barbara was born on September 18, 1936, in Colesburg, Iowa, to Earl and Jean Koeneke. She was raised in a home full of love and strong values, lessons that she carried into her own journey through life. She married Don Watson, and they had five children, Donna, Debbie, Pat, Mike and Jeff. Barbara was a lady of quiet strength, supported her husband and loved her family. She was a gifted quilter and wonderful homemaker. She was a long-time member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wynne.
Barbara is survived by her children, Donna Watson of Memphis, Debbie Thomson of Lamar, Mississippi, Patricia Fike of Indianola, Mississippi, Michael Watson of Madison, Mississippi, and Jeffery Watson of Collierville, Tennessee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Watson in 2020, parents, Earl and Jean Koeneke, son, Donald Watson, Jr., granddaughter, Rebecca Hamblin, son-in-law, Buster Fike and sister Verla West.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9 am until 10 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church with funeral services following at 10. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, P. O. Box 517/1695 N. Falls Blvd, Wynne, Arkansas 72396 or to the charity of your choice. Kernodle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
