June 2, 1957 - January 11, 2026
Barbara Weber-Preston passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by family.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Jon "Doc" Preston; her sister, JoAn Moncel, and her spouse Terry Moncel; her daughter, Lynsey Weber; and her cherished granddaughters, Dalaney Weber and Desi McFaggen. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Iola Weber; her sister, Marie Newton; and her brother, Bob Murdock.
Barb dedicated nearly 30 years of service to Health and Human Services, where she truly embodied the principle of "love thy neighbor." Through her work, she quietly and steadfastly served her community with compassion, empathy, and unwavering dedication. Her kindness and commitment touched countless lives, often in moments when it mattered most.
Outside of her professional life, Barb found her greatest joy in time spent with family, especially at the family campsite. Surrounded by nature and those she loved, these moments brought her peace, laughter, and treasured memories that will be held close by all who shared them with her.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Regional Hospice for their compassionate care and support, and for helping Barb return home-where she wished to be-during her final days. Their kindness and guidance brought comfort not only to Barb, but to her entire family.
Barbara will be remembered for her gentle strength, her caring spirit, and her lifelong dedication to helping others. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her, and her legacy of compassion will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date.
