Uldine Weber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lauer Family Funeral Home Affordable Cremation Solutions Jackson - Jackson on Mar. 30, 2026.
Uldine Dolores Weber, age 98, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 26, 1928 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to her parents, the late George and Daisy Edwards. Along with her parents and seven siblings, she is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband and soulmate of 67 years, Joe Weber, in eternal peace.

Uldine is survived by her children, Judith Weber-Lucas, Marsha (Lee) Piper, and Denise (Ray) Ridley; grandchildren, Mark Lucas, Nick Piper, Katie (Chris) Riddle, Ashley Ridley, Noelle Ridley, Brandon (Maeve) Ridley, and Chandler Ridley; great-grandchildren, Ayla Lucas, and Peyton and Emmett Riddle; along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Uldine met the love of her life, Joe, in Mattoon, Illinois. The two were united in marriage and later moved to Michigan in the early 1960s, where they raised their three daughters in Hillsdale and Jackson, later wintering in Bradenton, FL, where they spent their retirement of 24 years. Together they were longtime members of First United Methodist Church in Jackson and later Oneco United Methodist Church in Bradenton.

She was deeply involved in her community and always willing to lend her time and talents to make it a better place. Uldine especially enjoyed volunteering at local hospitals, where for over 20 years she lovingly crocheted hats and blankets for cancer patients and newborns. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives through these heartfelt gifts.

She was happiest when hosting family and friends, expressing her love through cooking, serving and creating memories with her signature elegance.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, Illinois. To celebrate her life, offer a helping hand to those in need or contribute to The Salvation Army.
