Barbara "Barb" Wilde

Barbara A. Wilde, 81, a cherished beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends, passed away on July 30, 2025, in Manchester. Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 13, 1944, Barb was raised in Long Island, prior to moving to New Jersey in 1966. Her journey through life was marked by her indomitable spirit and generous heart.

Her career as a dedicated registered nurse was a testament to her unwavering commitment to caring for others with kindness and compassion. Barb's professional journey saw her touch countless lives through her work at Caring with Kindness in Lakewood, where her skill and empathy left an indelible impact on her patients and colleagues alike.

Barbara was pre-deceased by her ex-husband John K Wilde in 1975 and her beloved brothers Paul Woodford and Robert Woodford.

She found solace and support in her involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous, where she was an avid member since 1983.

Barb's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by a family that adored her, including her daughter and son-in-law, Lauraine and Phil Piccolo Jr. of Manalapan; her brother, Tom Woodford of California; her sister, Linda Zohovetz of North Carolina; her cherished grandchildren, Christina Piccolo and fiance Matt Estrella and Philip and Jen Piccolo III; and her adored great-grandchildren, Nolan Piccolo and Kylo Piccolo. Her legacy of love also extends to her extended family members, all of whom felt the warmth of her embrace and the strength of her character.

Barb was known for her spiritual nature, her love for reading self-help books, and her outspokenness. She never shied away from expressing her opinion, a trait that was both admired and cherished by those who knew her. Her home was the hub of holiday celebrations, where she relished hosting family gatherings. Barb also loved going to Community Outings with her many friends.

Above all, Barb's grandchildren were her everything. Her eyes sparkled with pride at their accomplishments, and her love for them was boundless.

Barb's memory will be treasured in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects for a Celebration of Life on August 12, 2025 from 3-6PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation was private.
