Barbara Ann Williams, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Lyman, South Carolina, at the age of 90. Born on September 6, 1934, in Appomattox, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Louise Jamerson Ashley.
Barbara's career as a homemaker was devoted entirely to raising her children, and she was regarded as the best mom anyone could ask for. She was a godly woman with a loving heart for her family, known for her feisty spirit and for always speaking truth in love.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors, nurturing her flowers, and finding joy in music and singing. Barbara was a long time member of Hope Church, she actively participated in Home Groups, where she shared her faith. Alongside her husband, she also helped in Children's outreach, showing her deep commitment and love for ministry.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Dawn Patterson (David) of Roebuck, SC; her sons, Mark Williams (Sundra) of Woodruff, SC, and Nathan Williams (Wendy) of Woodruff, SC; her grandchildren, Jason Williams (Sherrill), Rachel Ginn (Chandler), Jessica Steadman (Kyle), and Jonathan Patterson; as well as her great-grandchildren, Travis, Kylie, Asher, Cole, Callie, Avery, and Hattie. She also leaves behind her bonus grandchildren, Lisa Harris, and bonus great-grandchildren, Brian, Ashton, and Maura.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Glenn Edward Williams, and her son, Glenn "Chip" Edward Williams, II. Including her siblings, Willy Ashley, Ronnie Ashley, and Donna Propst.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel and conducted by The Rev. Manning Strickland. Burial will be held privately.
Barbara Ann Williams will be fondly remembered for her devotion to family and faith, as well as her vivacious spirit that touched the hearts of many.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Ashlan Village and Agape Care for the wonderful support.
