Barbara Willis Obituary
Barbara Fayerene Willis, 84, of Gilmer passed away on October 22, 2024. Barbara was born on September 5, 1940 to Raymond and Mary Grace (Harbor) Oney in Harleton, TX.
Barbara lived a fulfilling life deeply rooted in her community and her faith. A devoted member of Hopewell Methodist Church, she found purpose and joy through her contributions and friendships formed there. Her spirit shone brightly within this congregation, where she was appreciated not only for her dedication but also for the warmth she brought to those around her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Larry Willis and wife Kathy; daughter, Theresa Morgan and husband Barry; 2 brothers, Dale Oney and Roger Oney; 4 sisters, Lois Hunt, Linda Fugler, Brenda Truitt and Shirley Wilson; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vick Willis.
Visitation for Barbara will be held on October 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place the following day, October 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM, also at Croley Funeral Home with Roger Oney officiating. Interment to follow at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery.
