Edgerton, WI - Barbara A. Winn, age 67, of Edgerton, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at home. She was born in Edgerton on April 8, 1958, the daughter of Dr. James and Winifred "Winnie" (Hornung) Winn. Barbara was a 1976 graduate of Edgerton High School. She worked as a Produce Manager for Piggly Wiggly for 46 years until her retirement earlier this year. She was a very gifted artist, loved to paint, draw and quilted many blankets for her family. A Winn tradition. Barb loved children, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at Gibb's Lake and occasional visits to the Casino. She loved decorating for holidays. Using her artistic talents, every year she transformed the Winn family porch for Christmas. A tradition cherished by family as well as the entire Edgerton community. Her holiday displays at home and work were a sign of joy and togetherness. She loved the experience people had when customers came into the Piggly Wiggly to see her displays. She was the longest standing employee, treating customers and her co-workers like family. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her spirituality like that of her parents was important to her.
Barbara is survived by her life partner of 40 years, Richard Cease; 3 children: Jacob (Amy) Cease of Janesville, Hannah Cease of Brooklyn and Haley (Ethan) Clavey of Madison; 3 grandchildren: Garrett, Bradleigh and Clint; 8 siblings: Mary Ann (Gil) Jelinek of Monroe, Alice Pallett of Plainview, MN, Patricia (Doug) Risch of Dodgeville, Peggy (William) Maves of Evansville, James (Mary) Winn of Monticello, Teresa Bell of Wayzata, MN, Anthony (Sarah) Winn of Holman and Patrick "Joe" (Tami) Winn of Orlando, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
