Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband John and survived by her daughters, Marianne Yaunt and Sarah Raup, son-in-law Peter Raup and her much loved grandchildren Zachary, Henry, Natalie, Russell and Andrew.
Barbara and John grew up in Allison Park, PA and were long time residents until moving to Georgia to be closer to family. Barbara's love of books and reading led her to career at Carnegie Mellon University as head of circulation. To continue her passion for books, she volunteered in her retirement community's library. She loved travelling with John to foreign countries to learn about different cultures.

My thoughts & prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time. I never got to personally meet any of you except Sarah but I feel like I´ve known all of you from the personal friendship I shared with Barb. She loved all of you & was so happy sharing all the wonderful memories that filled her life with joy & happiness. I am truly blessed to have had such a wonderful friend. I will treasure all the beautiful memories I´ve shared with her & will miss her dearly.
