Barbara (Harlan) Eve Yoho, 80, was born February 5, 1945, in
New Castle, PA to the late Rachel A. (Rogers) and Robert R. Harlan while her father was marching through France pushing back the Germans in WWII. She died October 15, 2025, at Cambridge Village in Beaver Falls, PA after an extended battle with dementia.
Barbara loved people and never met a stranger she couldn't win over as a friend. She also loved Jesus and recognized her need, which we all share, for a savior. She was a long-time member of Croton UM Church and First Assembly of God.
Barbara married Bill Eve in 1962, and they had a son, William Jay Eve II, on her 18th birthday. Two years later, they welcomed a daughter, Beth Ann Eve, but eight years later son Robert Harlan Eve was prematurely stillborn.
In 1982, Barbara married D. Gregg Yoho, who was a faithful, loyal caregiver to the very end. Together they loved to cruise and travel, visiting over 50 countries and all 7 continents.
Barbara was a great cook, wise with money, and had a green thumb. She loved babies and, on many occasions, would offer to hold a screaming baby and the overwhelmed mother would hand over the tyke who would calm down within seconds to everyone's amazement. Additionally, from an early age, Barbara would wear her aunt's diamond rings which led to a lifelong love of jewelry. To say she was quite fond of dishes and pink depression glass, would be an understatement.
Barbara could sell air conditioners to Eskimos as she was a salesman at heart and the ultimate extrovert who honed her skills over the years on Tupperware, Amway, Sears' Maintenance Agreements, and Princess House winning many, many awards and prizes for her success.
In addition to her two children and husband, survivors include two sisters, Beverly (Jim) Kinsler and Bobbette (Chip) Glass as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Pastor Steve DeSantis will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
