Barbara Youpel Obituary
Barbara was born to George M. and Laverne Francis (Blake) Werntz on Sept. 12, 1939 in Chicago, IL. Barbara was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Aquinas High School and went on to take some Nursing classes at Little Company of Mary Hospital. She worked as a medical and legal secretary. She married Harold A. Youpel on Aug. 23, 1985 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2015.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nancy Riddle of Winnetka, IL and her children: Jack and Sarah Riddle; her son, Tom (Haj) Herbert of Oak Park, IL and his children: Cyrus and Leo Herbert; along with her nieces: Barb; Mary; Sandy; and Laverne.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Laverne Werntz; her husband, Harold Youpel; her sister, Nancy Popham; her brother-in-law, Gerald Popham; and her nephew, Jerry Popham.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. E.S.T. at St. Michael Catholic Church (612 N. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. E.S.T. at St. Michael Catholic Church (612 N. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with Father Keeton Lockwood presiding.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
Memorial donations may be made to Marshall County Humane Society (11165 13th Road, Plymouth, IN 46563).
