Barry Paul Basile
May 2, 1958 - February 28, 2026

Barry Paul Basile, a lifelong resident of Maywood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully. Born on May 2, 1958, Barry was a true "Maywoodian" through and through, spending his entire life in the community he loved.

Barry was a graduate of Hackensack High School. He later dedicated more than 30 years to the Basile family business, Plumb & Level in Maywood, where he worked alongside his father, Vince Basile. Later, he continued his strong work ethic with more than a decade of service at Maywood Furniture.

Known affectionately as "The Bear," Barry will be remembered for his steady presence, loyalty, and the deep bonds he shared with his family and the many friends who were fortunate to know him. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, and he also enjoyed following NASCAR.

Barry is survived by his sister, Bonnie MacKenzie and her husband Doug; his brothers, Bruce Basile and his wife Lori, and Brad Basile and his wife Sue Dyrness; and his nephew, Robyn MacKenzie.
