Barry Lee Chambers, 81, South Abington Township, died Saturday at home.
Born March 3, 1943, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Tennyson Lee and Helen Mae (Owens) Chambers.
A 1961 graduate of Abington Heights High School, he served honorably in the United States Navy. He was formerly employed by Pratt & Whitney, Hartford CT, where he worked as an Electronics Specialist. Thereafter having worked at Motorola Corporation and local area construction.
Barry was a proud Life Member of the Chinchilla Hose Company. He was also a proud veteran and enjoyed the annual memorial parades, often acting as the main flag bearer. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially riding his motorcycle.
Surviving; a son Todd and wife Kathi, Clarks Summit; a daughter Tammy and husband David Baglino, Park City, UT; a sister Carole and husband Joe Rosencrance, Clarks Green; a brother Brian, Winter Park, FL; granddaughters, Caitlin Chambers Greenley and Molly Chambers; grandsons, Jackson Baglino and Levi Baglino; great granddaughters, Nora and Cara; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 am with military honors from Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit. Interment North Chinchilla Cemetery, South Abington, Twp. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home.
