It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Micheale A. “Micki” Gorman, beloved wife, caring mother, cherished friend, and esteemed leader, who left this world peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Chad Rouse for 26 years and the mother of her daughter, Bronwen Rouse.
Born on July 29, 1968, in West Point, New York, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Marianne (Keeley) Gorman. Growing up in a military family, Micki moved around for much of her childhood, and eventually graduated from high school in Carlisle, PA, and later went on to continue her studies at Villanova University, a testament to her dedication and ambition. She was a lifelong learner, always seeking to grow and enrich herself and those around her. Micki dedicated her career to serving as the Executive Director of the Templeton Foundation, where her passion for philanthropy and commitment to making a positive impact in the world inspired countless others. She was a devoted advocate for humanitarian causes, and her legacy will continue through the lives she touched. She had also worked at The Home Depot as an interior designer, where she helped people turn their visions into a reality.
Micki loved animals and was a proud pet parent of two dogs, Liberty and Rosa, and a cat, Binx, along with many other loved pets throughout her life. Micki’s animals were always a light in her life, and she was successful with many of her dogs at dog shows. Her Irish wolfhounds, Jack Russell terriers, and whippets brought her not just immense joy but also countless accolades during her time in the business.
Above all, Micheale was a loving mother to her daughter, and spouse to her husband. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support for one another. A lover of all things Micheale's warm spirit and kindness will be forever missed.
Micki is survived by her husband, Chad, and daughter, Bronwen. Also, her brother, Thomas P. Gorman, her sister Kerry Houser, and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marianne, and her sister Allison (Tracy) Gorman-Young.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In honor of Micki’s family ancestry, her remains will be laid to rest in Newry, Northern Ireland.
Micki’s care has been entrusted to Jennings Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc, Clarks Summit, and their on-site crematory.
