Barry A. Miller

Barry A. Miller, 87, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025 after bravely battling recent illness and health challenges. He was born on January 23, 1938, to Nat and Rose Miller. He is survived by his beloved wife Gilda Miller (Katz), sister Tina Miller, sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Michelle Miller, Richard and Robin Miller, and Todd and Karen Miller, and his loving grandchildren Matthew Miller, Max Miller (fiancé Camryn Daniels), Samantha Miller (fiancé John Briggs), Jamie Miller, Dana Miller, and Alexa Miller, along with many nieces and nephews. Barry is predeceased by his brother Robert Miller.
Barry grew up in Pelham Parkway, Bronx, NY and was very proud of his Bronx roots. After graduating from Christopher Columbus High School, he attended NYU. A loyal and avid Yankee fan, Barry was often seen watching or listening to Yankee games, wearing his Yankee hat, jacket, or ring, and frequently took his family to games at the stadium.
Barry was a strong but gentle man, and was considered the protector of his family and friends, a wonderful provider, and always looking out for everyone's best interests. He was a dedicated man with a great wealth of knowledge that he enjoyed sharing with others. Barry worked hard through his life, as a sports writer, owner of a successful roofing company, as well as being in the army, president of his temple, and little league, and becoming a real estate agent later in his life.
Barry will mostly be remembered for his unwavering love, dry sense of humor, and immeasurable dedication to his family and friends. He was always present with his family during the numerous gatherings and holidays, and never missed any of his son's sporting events growing up. He was adored by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by so many.
Shiva will be held at 28 S. Bayard Ave., Mahwah, NJ 07430 Monday 5/5/25 7-9, Tuesday 5/6 and Wednesday 5/7 2-5 and 7-9.
