Barry "Bud" Parsons was born on March 25, 1959 in Corinth, Mississippi, the son of the late Arlon Eugene Parsons and Sidney Mae Parsons Brents.

On October 22, 1984, he was united in marriage to Verlesha Jane "Lucy" Cromwell, who survives.

Mr. Parsons honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1978 until 1983, achieving the status of a Golden Shellback. He later worked as an electrician. Barry "Bud" Parsons was dearly loved by his friends and family. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his friends at Pickwick. Bud was very intelligent and excelled in answering Jeopardy questions. He also loved rock hunting, fishing at the pipeline, and throwing horseshoes.

Barry "Bud" Parsons departed this life on April 18, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 65 years and 24 days.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Verlesha Jane "Lucy" Parsons of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Richard Allen Parsons (Crystal), Barry Laine Parsons, and Colby Blayne Parsons (Katelyn); daughter, Laikyn Carlon Parsons (Trace); stepdaughter, Raven Lorraine Blanton (Robert); sister, Shelia Moore; brothers, Tom Parsons and Johnny Parsons; and grandchildren, Lillian Parsons, Callie Parsons, Jonathan McClain, Jamisen McClain, Kayvence Silas Burton, and Annistyn Eliah Burton.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Parsons; brother, Gary Eugene Parsons; and sister, Sherry Marie Briley.
